The gorgeous rock riffle dam is the highlight of Dam Park!

The mesmerizing sound of water falling over the layers and rows of boulders beckon you to join in the fun of crossing the river from side to side.

Or, maybe you just want to sit on the old historic steps and relax for a while.

You might even spot a crane, duck, loon, goose or swan catching a fish of their own.

PLEASE DON'T MOVE OR REMOVE THE ROCKS ... BIG OR SMALL

THE SWIMMING BEACH

The beautiful sandy public swimming beach was doubled in size with the expansion of Dam Park.

A dock and two swimming rafts were also added, making this a great place to experience "life at the river".

NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY!

THE FISHING PIER

Enjoy fishing and "catch the big one" at the public fishing pier!

The rock riffle dam provides the perfect "ladder" by which fish can come "upstream" to Norway Lake.  This is much different than when the old dam was in place.

That means you may find a greater number and variety of fish than ever before.

NO FISH CLEANING FACILITY IS PROVIDED AT THE PARK

DO NOT PUT FISH IN ANY RECEPTACLE!

THE PLAYGROUND

We have a brand new playground for all the kiddos to enjoy!

With this section of River Street removed, the park was able to expand lazily from the river's edge to the opposite side of the playground.  This made for a safer experience since children no longer have to cross a street to enjoy any portion of the upper Dam Park.

Children can enjoy swinging, sliding, spinning on the merry-go-round, rope & bar climbing, and even a zip line!

Picnic tables and benches provide seating for adults looking on.

SMALL CHILDREN SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
